The DOD Transition Assistance Program (TAP) was designed by the Department of Defense to smooth the transition of military personnel (and family members) leaving active duty. TAP is a partnership
among DoD, DOL, and VA.
Our mission is to assist military service members and their families successfully make the transition from active duty life to the civilian sector. Our entire staff works to that end with certain key
members strictly devoted to that mission.
Among our focused staff personnel are Local Veterans Employment Representatives (LVERs), Disabled Veteran Outreach Specialists (DVOPs) and Military Family Employment Specialists.
Staff members work individually to assist you in anyway possible to help you through the transition and career seeking process. Locally, we partner with the Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field
Airman & Family Readiness Centers (AFRC) to facilitate the Transition Assistance Program (TAP).
Returning to civilian life is an exciting time, but is also a complex undertaking. The service member has many steps to take, and many questions to get answered. The Transition Assistance Program
(TAP) is there to help.
The three day transition seminars located on Eglin and Hurlburt are open to active duty personnel of all branches of the service as well as to their spouses.
