Home Town Heroes Teach
To serve our wounded and eligible disabled military veterans and the school districts of Northwest Florida by facilitating the path to teacher certification through programs offered at the University of West Florida thereby providing teachers to meet critical shortages in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties. We are a consortium from the Florida panhandle which includes Workforce Escarosa, Inc., Workforce Development Board of Okaloosa and Walton counties, the University of West Florida and Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa school districts. Hometown Heroes Teach is sponsored by the University of West Florida and Workforce Escarosa, Inc.
